Rescue Robots — Storyline
Rescue Robots is a British game show, produced by Mentorn and shown on ITV in 2003, presented by Anna Williamson. One series of 15 episodes was produced however only 7 episodes were aired.
The show was based on an original idea of Adam Clark, creator of the robot 259 which featured on Robot Wars.
The set was one of the biggest sets ever built for a children's show, which included urban and industrial landscapes, countryside, lakes and rivers.
Each episode featured teams of four children using three robots best suited for the challenge. The teams had to battle against the clock in a mission to save a town called Calamity City from a disaster such as nuclear meltdown, or environmental catastrophe. They tasks required a balance of problem-solving skills, driving skills and technical ability.

- E1: Forest Fire (2003-07-25) — From the producers of Robot Wars, Rescue Robots is a robot inspired, challenge based gameshow. Teams of children pilot their chosen robots and attempt to overcome pre-set obstacles
- E2: Meltdown (2003-08-01) — Transporter, Ranger and Talon face a potential nuclear disaster. Will the team prevent meltdown, or will this challenge prove too explosive for them?
- E3: Dam Breach (2003-08-08) — The water pressure’s rising and if the team don’t get there soon the whole of Calamity City will be underwater. Will the team sink or swim?
- E4: Gas Refinery (2003-08-15) — A series of major fires have broken out on the outskirts of Calamity City. Will the team extinguish the inferno before it blows it destroys all in its path?
- E5: Satellite Crash (2003-08-22) — A satellite with vital scientific data has crash landed in the desert. Will the team be able to retrieve it safely, or will the information be lost forever?
- E6: Mine Shaft (2003-08-29) — Poisonous gas is leaking from an abandoned mine. Can the Rescue Robots prevent the entire city being wiped out?
- E7: Earthquake (2003-09-05) — Rescue Robots face their toughest challenge yet as an Earthquake causes power cuts and landslides.
- E8: Thunderstorm (2022-07-08) — Lightning strikes has damaged the communication network of Calamity City, the team has to fix it to bring order back to the people.
- E9: Unexploded Bomb (2022-07-08) — An unexploded bomb of unknown origin threatens the safety of Calamity City, the Rescue Robots have to dispose of it sor risk destroying the whole city.
- E10: Volcanic Reservoir (2022-07-08) — Two research droids have gone missing whilst investigating bizarre volcanic activity. Will the Rescue Robots find them in time?

- E15: UFO (2022-07-15) — An unidentified object from outer-space has crashed in the desert on the outskirts of Calamity City and is leaking radiation, the Rescue Robots must retrieve and contain the object
